What is a peer to peer supporter?

 Building on or igniting a passion to engage and work with those entering or already in the journey to recovery. Developing cores skills to be effective in a peer support role. increase knowledge of many pathways to recovery and the recover community.

Michelle L. Beyer has gone through extensive training to help others like herself. Receiving her certification in addiction/mental health Michelle can successfully guide, build, and help you maintain your sobriety.

Michelle follows a strict guideline for success!

Most importantly Michelle offers hope!

Michelle, I believe that recovery success is like a pie. You must have all the pieces  for it to be complete. My job is not to instruct a person in what is right or wrong.

Here’s how it works:

  • A Stark County teen texts 4hope to 741-741 anywhere, anytime
  • A live, trained specialist receives the text and responds quickly
  • The specialist helps the teen stay safe and healthy with effective, secure counseling and referrals through text message using Crisis Text Line’s platform

Crisis Text Line partners with existing organizations that are experienced, highly trained, and well-equipped to respond to teens in crisis: experienced crisis centers, youth-serving organizations, and experts in the youth and mental health fields.  Crisis Text Line was recently recognized by The Tech Awards as a finalist for the Nokia Health Award.
